TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

WHO

The Iowa Grizzlies and Adaptive Sports Iowa are excited to be hosting this year’s 2025 Grizzlies Invitational Tournament. The tournament will be composed of Junior Division Varsity and Prep teams.

WHEN

February 15-16, 2025

Saturday, February 15 from 8am – 6pm

Sunday, February 16 from 8am – 2pm

A complete game schedule and bracket will be provided once registration has concluded.

HOW

Online registration will be open from November 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025. Team fee is $375. This includes a three-game guarantee and t-shirts for all players and coaches. All players must complete the waiver before competing.

Rules

The 2025 Grizzlies Invitational Tournament will be following the NWBA official rules. You may review these rules here.

All athletes and coaches must be registered with the NWBA, and all athletes and coaches must turn in any signed waivers necessary to participate. Only NWBA rostered individuals will be allowed to participate.

Admission

Admission to watch the tournament is free. There will be raffle drawings for various prizes and baskets during the tournament that serves as a fundraiser for the Grizzlies team. We will also be selling extra tournament t-shirts on-site.

Awards

We will be handing out trophies to the teams who place in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the Varsity division and 1st place in the Prep division (subject to change). Each coach will chose the recipient of the Spirit of the Sport award for their team and hand out a medal to the deserving athlete.

Equipment Storage

Equipment/wheelchair storage will be made available for each team. Please note, we cannot accept responsibility for any lost or stolen items throughout the weekend. Make sure that your team has a system in place to monitor equipment and keep spaces and hallways clear.

Food

We will have concessions available both days of competition. We are not providing lunches for athletes or coaches.
