National Veteran Airgun Program
The National Veteran Airgun Program is designed to provide veterans with a variety of disabilities the opportunity to learn and improve airgun skills.
Who: The Adaptive Sports Iowa Airgun program is intended to serve veterans with a range of disabilities including physical and PTSD.
Cost: The National Veteran Airgun Program is free for all participants. We provide the air rifles and pistols, pellets, and targets
Where: Jester Park Nature Center- 12130 NW 128th St, 50109 Granger, IA.
Adaptive Sports Iowa is proud to host the National Veteran Airgun Outreach program. This program was developed by Adaptive Sports USA and funded through a grant from the Veteran’s Administration.
The program will complement work being done by USA Shooting and serve individuals with a recreational and/or competitive focus. The program will serve various types of disabilities to include amputation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, PTSD as well as special adaptations for blind and visually impaired. Working alongside program partners in 7 identified geographic locations; Veterans will have the opportunity to gain instruction, participation and competition in an adaptive sport.
